The God punished us for our seven original sins: gluttony, greed, sloth, lust, pride, envy and wrath. For thousands years, the nature of human beings have never changed a little: the war is lasting, and the poverty is still an eternal theme for the most people of the world.
Everyday, we feel like living in a bog, all around of us is there bait, selfishness, deception and insult, which makes us difficult to breathe, listen, look and touch. We are living in a civilized world, however, our virtues are ravished by the civilization we established. It seems a paradox, a paradox dating from the Genesis and lasting to the Domesday.
Where is our outlet?
The attempt of legislating to the moral is proved to be a naive Utopia, for the purpose of the law is force and punishment, not lead and improvement. So, we definitely need a prophet who can guide us out of the marsh of our soul, since the soul is the primary root of all sins.
However, where is the prophet? In that all of us are common men, who can assume the saint burden? Even nowadays, there is another paradox fallowing in our society and our daily life: if you want to persuade devil, you should become demon first; if you want to prevent crime, you should have the criminal ability——any virtue will merely be treated as flabbiness, and no esteem, no respect even no mercy——just like the Ghost rider, also just like the Brad Pitt.
The world is corrupting and the marsh of our soul is extending, extending…
Virtuous persons, watch out, and take care of yourselves, perhaps someday there will be a faint hope beam coming from the heaven, from the outskirt of our soul marsh…
Faith is a perpetual word for us…
So pale and so helpless these words, however, I will write them down: Fortitude, Temperance, Prudence, Justice, Faith, Charity, Hope…
